EU vote to cap VAT at 25%

The European Parliament are proposing to implement a maximum cap of 25% on the standard VAT rate applicable in all EU countries.

Currently the only EU country that will be affected if this cap is introduced is Hungary, who will have to reduce their current VAT rate of 27%.
