Greece increase VAT rate from 1 June 2016

Greece has now confirmed the increase to their standard VAT rate from 23% to 24% will be implemented on 1 June 2016. They have also confirmed that the reduced VAT rates in the Greek Islands will be scrapped so the standard rate throughout Greece will be 24% from this date. This change is being implemented a month earlier than expected and has been introduced in an effort to improve their economic performance.
