More information on the reduced VAT rate in Slovakia

As stated in last month’s newsletter, Slovakia plans to reduce the VAT rate on basic foodstuffs from 20% to 10% as of 1 January 2016.  It has now been confirmed that this reduction will also apply to fresh meat products and that the reduction in VAT will help eliminate a large amount of suspected fraud in the sector.
