Polish Council of Ministers approves further extension of VAT rate cuts on basic foodstuffs

Despite a decrease in inflation, the Polish Council of Ministers have approved a further extension of the basic foodstuffs VAT rate cut to 30 June 2024.

This VAT rate reduction was due to expire on December 2023 and means the VAT rate on essential food items remains at 0%.
