Reduced quarterly filing of EC Sales Lists threshold will start in January 2016

18 November 2015

From 1 January 2016 the threshold for the quarterly filing of EC Sales Lists will be reduced from €100,000 to €50,000.  This means that any businesses that exceed the new €50,000 threshold will need to submit their EC Sales Lists on a monthly basis. This change is as a result of a request from the European Commission who stated that the current threshold is not in accordance with EU VAT legislation.
