Reminder: Bulgaria joined the Eurozone on 1 January 2026

From 1 January 2026, Bulgaria has adopted the euro as its official currency. The country has been preparing for this transition since joining the European Union back in 2007.

We recommend that any businesses trading in Bulgaria review and update their accounting, invoicing, and pricing systems to ensure that the euro currency is used in place of the Bulgarian lev.
