Hungary approves a reduced VAT rate on the construction of new dwellings

In an effort to kick-start the construction industry in Hungary, a new temporary reduced VAT rate has been introduced to the construction of new residential dwellings. Previously these types of supplies were subject to the standard rate of VAT at 27%, however this will now be reduced to 5% until at least the year 2019.
