Poland proposing to increase VAT threshold

31 May 2016

Poland has put forward a proposal to raise the VAT registration threshold for resident companies from PLN 150,000 to PLN 200,000.

It is hoped that if accepted it will free a number of smaller resident companies from the administrative burden of having a VAT account. It will also enable the Polish government to focus on larger companies' VAT compliance as well as VAT fraud detection.
