Portugal extends VAT return deadlines

7 July 2020

The May and June monthly VAT returns due on 12 July and 12 August respectively are now due on 17 July and the 17 August. The deadline for the March to June 2020 quarterly VAT return has also been extended to 22 August.


All associated payment deadlines have also been extended to the 25 of the month following the period of the VAT return itself and no late filing penalties or payment interest charges will be applied on these extensions.
