Romania releases a guide relating to its mandatory B2B e-invoicing for all VAT-registered businesses

21 December 2023

The Romanian Ministry of Finance has issued a user guidance manual for the new mandatory e-invoicing regime being introduced from next month.

The manual covers the following topics: registration; access; free invoicing app; generating XML invoices; downloading invoices; conversion to PDF; archiving; Frequently Asked Questions; and other information.

In September this year, Romania confirmed the introduction of this new electronic invoice regime which will require VAT-registered businesses to send their sales invoices to the Romanian tax authorities via a new e-invoicing portal. Further information can be found in our article here.
